China processed 11,414 software registration applications in the first
half of this year, a record high in Chinese history- up 8.21 percent from
over a year ago-according to sources from the Copyright Protection Center
of China. Among various computer software registration applications,
software copyright registration takes up 94.99 percent of the total,
reaching 10,842 applications.

Statistics show Beijing, Guangdong, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian,
Shandong, Hubei, Sichuan and Tianjin are the top 10 provinces processing
the most software copyright registration applications. The top five
provinces are dealing with 72.68 percent of the country's total
