www.chinanews.cn 2005-02-16 14:53:47

On Feb 14, 2005, kissing fish, known for kissing, appeared in the market
in an aquarium in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. Many young people rushed to
buy them as special gifts for this year's Valentine's Day. It was said
that kissing fish would make the sound of "pada" when kissing,
symbolizing long-lasting love and affection. Giving a pair of kissing
fish to your partner is considered special on Valentine's Day.
