Asia's largest sorbitol plant

The France-based Roquette Company, the world's largest sorbitol producer,
set up Asia's largest sorbitol plant in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, on
March 14th. In addition to its total investment of 243 million US
dollars, the company will invest another 45 million Euros to increase the
plant's solid sorbitol and starch capacity. The plant will be able to
produce 160,000 tons of sorbitol and 70,000 tons of starch every year.
