According to numbers recently released by the National Bureau of
Statistics, China manufactured 84.6478 million program-control exchangers
and 233.4458 million mobile phones in 2004, an increase of 14.7% and
28.1% respectively over the previous year. China has become a giant in
phone production and consumption.
