China publishes cyber maps for free downloading

Chinanews, Beijing, July 12 �C The State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping
recently posted on its website a set of maps of China and the world.
Users can log onto its website to view and download these maps freely.
The cyber version of these maps has altogether 418 segments. The maps of
China contain 20 different versions, such as fundamental facts, geology,
administration, agriculture, road transportation, rivers, navigation,
railroad transportation, scenic spots, and conceptual diagram. These maps
use 14 kinds of mapping scales, ranging from 1:4,000,000 to 1:
100,000,000. The map of the world uses 10 types of mapping scales.
